In this two week project during the UX Certificate program through Coursera, I worked as the sole designer in all steps of the design process; Empathise, Design, Ideate, Prototype and Test.
Challenge: Create a responsive pet adoption website to help users navigate to the ADOPT page with ease and successful adopt a pet.
Solution: The Liberty Humane Society responsive website incorporates an easy to navigate homepage to the adoption section to allow users to browse pets and chose the one they wish to adopt.
Research: Upon selected Sharpen prompt, I contemplated how to create the responsive website in a way that it was easy to navigate to the adoption page and allow users to successfully adopt a pet. My research goals were to compare how easy it was to navigate other pet adoption webpages and create a responsive webpage that was easier to use with successful results.
Research Methodology: Unmoderated, Remote Usability Study where users keep track of how long it takes to navigate the the ADOPT page for available dogs and cats and once animals were located, were they able to view the selected animal with ease.
Insight: Survey results revealed that navigating to the ADOPT page was a success and they were able to view selected animals, but they were not able to locate the adoption form which had been an issue for a number of users.
